Speaking from Experience//To do list

As part of the pack i am doing on organisation, i am going to provide A6 sized to do lists.
After researching into them and doing some initial ideas on them i have come up with two ideas:

Out of the two i prefer the last one the most, because it has a lot more to it, the design of it is a lot more inviting and works better on a whole. I aren't quite happy with it yet, so i will further develop this idea.

Landscape version of the to do list, as the banner bit at the side takes up a lot of room, i have had to lose the important section of the to do list, but i don't think this works as well. It looks plain and boring because of the lines. I don't think i like the tick boxes either, it makes it look like some sort of register.
Maybe i could play around with the banner bit at the side, to reduce it in size or fit more info on it? Im not sure but its not quite working at the minute, but the elements are there.

After doing the initial designs and experimenting a little with the design i like the most, i went away and made some more changes because i wasn't happy with that design. I decided to work with both the landscape and portrait version of each design because i hadn't decided which i liked best yet.

With the portrait designs the main shape could be longer because there was more length on the page, this worked in favour because i could have to do list written on it, but because of the limited space i couldn't have it that thick, which on these cards i think it doesn't look in proportion properly and too thin. From the original design i have made it thinner so that the list section of the page can be wider as i thought that was too thin.

With the landscape version of the to do list, i had to simplify it a little because there wasn't as much length for the banner shape to go on. Getting rid of the to do list title made this possible, which i don't actually think it needs to be there because you know its a to do list, you don't need to be told. The two sections of the list were re worked, with the headings being adjusted and the lines being made fainter, so its not as prominent on the page and doesn't make you feel as though you have to stick to the lines.
I still think that the banner here doesn't look in proportion and maybe need to be thinner, so i think it needs a little more rework.

Final design after reworking the banner slightly:
