OUGD502 // Personal Branding // Letterhead

The letterhead is another business stationery which i have designed for myself. This is to be used for any letters sent out to studios and companies. I have designed this to be in keeping with my business card and the identity of myself, by using the same colours, type and logo throughout this will keep it consistent across everything.

The first idea for the letterhead was to have the information along the bottom with my logo present in this section. I like the idea of this and that all the information is in one area of the letterhead, also the block colour works well for my branding. But i feel that the top section of the letterhead is bear and needs something added to it.

Still keeping the idea of the logo at the top of the letterhead, because this is centered within the letterhead, I have re-arranged the information in the bottom section of the letterhead to work with this alignment. I dont think that this works with the design of the letterhead and looks out of balanced throughout the whole design.

To overcome this, i decided to add my logo to the top of the letterhead, this gives the top section some extra detail and identifies with my branding. With the logo at the top of the page, i took it away from the bottom, but this makes the bottom section unbalanced and not look right with the design of the page. The information is all to close to the left.

Adding the logo back into the bottom section of the letterhead balances out the bottom, but now the logo is present twice within the letterhead, which looks too much within the design.

Changing the design again, i have still kept the idea of the bottom section of the letterhead with the logo present, but at the top of the letterhead i have wrote 'nathan bolton design' this adds extra detail to the top of the letterhead but balances out the design better because i havent used the logo for the second time. Also adding in the 'hi' speech bubble carries on the idea from my creative CV.

Again working on a different design, i have changed the layout of the letterhead and moved the 'hi' speech bubble underneath the title of the letterhead. This makes is seem more personal, but i don't really like the look of it.

These are the final design of the letterhead, showing the blank letterhead and a letterhead which has holding text within the page, to show what the letterhead would look like when the information is placed within the design.
